Do it right -- Where to sit and stand

Do you ever wonder if you sitting or standing in the right place? Here are a couple of diagrams to help you sort that out.
When you are sitting at the high altar, you should sit on the side that you are going to do most of your work on. That means the C1 and T1 should sit on the Epistle side (the right side as you face the high altar.) and C2 and T2 should sit on the Gospel side (the left side as you face the high altar).



When all the acolytes and the Eucharistic Ministers (Chalice Bearers) are standing behind the altar during the Eucharist, once again you should stay on the side you are working on. So C1 and T1 will stand on the Epistle side and C2 and T2 will stand on the Gospel side. The Eucharistic Ministers will stand in the middle.

Acolyte Kudos

Thanks to all the acolytes (and to their parents for getting them there!) for faithful attendance and excellent work serving at the Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany services.

Thanks also to all who attended the Team Leader Training. Turn-out was fantastic and a lot of learning took place. If you have any questions about altar procedures, don't forget to ask. We'll be getting some written instructions up on the website soon.




How about those new candelabra up on the high altar? They are to be lit for all services, and you can use the long lighter/snuffer to reach them. If you are having trouble, ask a taller person for help.
